Dragon, painting, clay, forced perspective, stencils, and monalloon

 In this sketchbook assignment we were supposed to draw a dragon, my dragon was red with black spikes, claws, horns, and wings. The dragon i drew is breathing fire. If I could change anything I would Definatly add shading.

Here we were supposed to paint a picture with a background, foreground, and frontground. i drew mountains with a giant rock and a tiger. A lot of people did really good on theirs and if I could change anything about this picture I would change the whole thing, I really just didn't like this one and was hoping it would come out better. I'm regreting it and wished I had painted the beach or something, just something a little more simpler.

This was our clay pottery project where we were assigned to create a shape, form, and design for a clay pot. I like how mines came out, but I didn't do two coatings of red paint on the bowl so I wish I could go back and change that.

 Here we were supposed to use forced perspective by taking pictures. In this picture it looks like I'm eating someone.

This project was our stencil project where we cut out shapes and figures and spray painted the images onto sheets of paperes or backpacks and binders like some of the other kids did. I couldn't find a picture of my stencil so I used a picture of other people's.

This project was when we as three classes combined tried to make The Mona Lisa out of balloons. Somewhere along the line the class who tried to make the face got a little confused and messed up, but in the end the all together project looks great. In this project we used 1,850 balloons to make her face.

Post Its

In this project a group of people were to make a famious persons face out of post it notes. Our group decided on Marilyn Munroe. The picture above is the unfinished version, in the end our project was nearly perfect and I wouldn't change it in anyway. Although I wished some of the group members would've done a little more work it didn't matter. We finished the project and it's still hanging in the halls.

In this project we had to draw using pastels. We had to mix and match colors, give depth, and shadows to try and make it seem as real as possible. On our table was a set of objects that we had to draw as you can see we had to draw multiple bottles, fruit, glass, and a flower. I liked how the project turned out but I still think it could've been better.

Stop motion, Value scale, self-portrait, glow light projects!

In this project we were supposed to use glow sticks to create an image of our choice. My group decided they wanted to write THUG, I was up for the idea but that was before our 20 failed attempts. eventual we got a stroke of luck and the perfect shot was taken. I can't think of something I would change in this project and I don't think it could've gone better.

The project here was to draw a portrait of myself. As you can see it was a failed attempt. it was supposed to help us with our shading and value if I could redo something in this picture it would be everything. Now that I look at it i don't like anything about it and would redo it if I had the chance.

  

Sorry but I couldn't find out how to rotate this image, but the assignment here was to draw a portrait of students in our sister school in Canada. I beleive this portrait I drew looks way better than my self-portrait. I don't know the girls name but I hope she likes the picture when she receives it. I woulodn't change anything from this picture, I loved the assigment and wouldn't mind doing it again.

Here are two of my group members cutting out backgrounds for our stop motion project. I was a little frustrated with how little the other members did, although a member Elliot Reid was very hard working too. In the end though the rest of our group came together and we managed to finish our stop motion movie thype thing.can't wait to see it in action. and I would NOT change anything in this project at all it went perfectly. It was fun easy and something I would love to do again.

Hand Painting and Tape Art

This week we looked at hand art and how to turn a hand into other things.
Our inspiration for the hand drawings was Guido Daniele who makes art out of hands.
First we had to draw a sketch of how our animals would look on our hands, then we got to paint them on to see if there were any resemblances.
The idea of drawing a cougar was just because the fact that it wouldn't be hard to do.

My overall thought of the final peice was that it came out as drawn and that it was a success.

the reason why I feel very successful is because you can clearly tell that it's a cougar and doesn't look like some lost design.

almost everything in this project worked out for me.

The most difficult part of the assignment was probably drawing the hand and even if I had the option of doing it over again I wouldn't because I like the results the way they are.

I learned from this peice that you can make anything out of a hand.

This week we talked about tape art and how people use it.

Our team came up with the idea for this project because of a previous project done by other kids, a man drawn on a kite was our inspiration. First our team had to sketch the kite man so we knew what we were about to tape, then we picked a hallway in the school and started to tape. After finishing tape man a teacher walked by and gave us the idea to add some color and so we did.

my overall thoughts of the final peice was that it looked really good and it'll be seen now by tons of kids who walk by the 600s hallway. We feel very successful and that everything worked out as planned, but if we had the option to do it over again I would say we needed to add more color it's just a white tape man on a white wall and it might be hard to see. the most difficult part of this project was agreeing on what to tape because everyone had completely different ideas. I learned from this peice that tape art takes a lot of time to do and a lot of patience.
